CBD Oil Q&A: What Is CBD Oil?
1. What is CBD?
CBD is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants. A cannabinoid is a chemical compound that reacts with your body’s endocannabinoid system. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid so, unlike THC, it does not get you high. Although researchers are still trying to figure out exactly what the endocannabinoid system does and how these chemicals react with it, there is a large amount of evidence found suggesting that there are health benefits to using cannabinoids.
2. Where does CBD come from?
CBD is produced inside of cannabis plants, so it is produced by both marijuana and hemp. Although CBD is legal, there are restrictions on where it can be extracted from due to different state laws. In most states, CBD oil must be extracted from hemp to be legal due to the lack of THC in the plant.
3. Will CBD make me feel high?
Again, unlike THC, CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid, so it does not make you high. CBD Fore Golf products are third-party lab-tested to ensure that there is no THC in the product. This leaves you with a high-quality, safe, and effective product.
4. CBD vs. Marijuana
First and foremost, CBD does not get you high whereas the use of marijuana does. This is because marijuana contains THC, a psychoactive chemical. Marijuana also carries CBD, but it is not a psychoactive chemical. Although CBD oil can be extracted from marijuana, that is prohibited in many states. Legal CBD oil has been extracted from industrial hemp plants, and these plants are categorized as having less than 0.3% THC content by the Farm Bill passed in 2018. The CBD oil you can buy has been extracted from industrial hemp plants.
5. What are the effects of CBD?
Studies have shown that CBD affects people in different ways, but generally it causes alertness in low to moderate doses and a sedating effect in very high doses. It does not cause a high because it a non-psychoactive substance. More research needs to be done, but the research we have suggests that CBD has a lot of positive effects on its users.
